Now I've got Logic 7 Pro, so there should be no more issues with missing anything - from recording the first guide track through to burning a red book audio CD. I can even mix down in 5:1 surround sound should I have the inclination.
More importantly, Pro 7 includes 'beat mapping'. Because I'm planning to avoid using a click track, I need some other way of telling the computer what the tempo is when I'm recording, otherwise sequenced instruments will slip in and out of time. Beat mapping - which isn't available in Express 7 - allows me to do exactly that.
