Caedmon

Caedmon eponymous album cover showing the band framed with ornate celtic knot work

I was a member of the Christian folk-rock band Caedmon from 1974 to 1978, taking their name from Caedmon, the seventh century English monk given ‘the art of song’. When we planned our farewell in Edinburgh in 1978, we recorded an album, pressed 500 copies and sold them at the concert. The album has become highly collectable and changes hands for hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds/dollars. It’s hailed as the best folk-rock album of the seventies, but then if you’d spent that kind of money on an album you would say that too.
